It's
easy to imagine soldiers drilling in the mist in the North Courtyard of
Blenheim Palace, but on the morning of the World Premiere, there was just
me and lovely Irish born actress Anna Scott (“The Big Empty,” “Mortal Hazard,”
“Out Of It”), who played the role of the Queen of the Sidh. Don't
we look calm, cool and collected, standing by in evening clothes for publicity
photos? Well, beneath that smiling exterior, Anna was drilling me
on my lines. Not the lines from the rhyme. I knew them.
But the new material I wrote especially for the World Premiere for Save
the Children (the entire business with the Queen of the Sidh and the Waifs),
was still a bit fuzzy. By mid-morning, the mist had cleared from
the North Courtyard and with Anna's help, the fog in my brain was dissipating,
too. |
